U.S. Department of Health and Human Services – Youth Empowerment Grant
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has made the Youth Empowerment Grant program available to address unhealthy behaviors in at-risk minority youth and provide them with opportunities to learn more positive lifestyles and enhance their capacity to make healthier choices. These demonstration grants require a multi-partner approach involving institutions of higher education, primary and secondary schools, community organizations and institutions, and the community at-large.
An estimated 12 awards will be administered to selected applicants. Award amounts will range between $275,000 and $300,000. Eligible applicants include institutions of higher education/learning or community college with a documented history of working in minority communities, or a tribal college. Deadline: September 3, 2009
Please Note: The Center for Health and Health Care in Schools (CHHCS) does not administer this funding opportunity.
