U.S. Department of Education - Teacher Quality Partnership Grant Program
The Teacher Quality Partnership Grant Program is focused on improving student achievement; improving the quality of new prospective teachers by improving the preparation of prospective teachers and enhancing professional development activities for teachers; holding teacher preparation programs at institutions of higher education accountable for preparing highly qualified teachers; and recruiting highly qualified individuals, including minorities and individuals from other occupations, into the teaching force.
Eligible applicants must be an "eligible partnership" as defined in section 200(6) of the HEA, which includes, but is not limited to: a high-need local educational agency a high-need school; a partner institution; a business; and a teacher organization.
